# Unique Perspective 8 Studio Guidebook

Ethics, field standing, metal, fire, and privacy — written so the site and the bench say the same thing.

Handmade sterling and gold pieces are formed in the studio. They may contain both metal recovered by hand from lawful ground and purchased metal melted with it. We do not claim a piece is entirely field-recovered unless that batch was kept separate.

## 1. Sentences we will stand behind
- Recycled copper wire: handmade studio pieces only.
- Gold and silver may be mixed origin unless a separate batch is recorded.
- A Free Miner Certificate may be stated. It is not a mine.
- Privacy: collect for the sale or the reply. Do not sell the person.

## 2. Ethics
A melt is separate only if purchased stock did not enter the pot. Write date, source note, and a travelling mark. Memory is mixed.

## 3. Field work
Recreational hand panning has tight tool and place limits. An FMC is a yearly key, not a permit for a mine. Claims, water, and mechanized work are different categories.

## 4. Purity and marking
Karat is /24. Sterling is 925. Canada: a quality mark is optional; if used it must be true.

## 5. Alloy identification
Eyes, magnet, marks, file the core if plated, acid, density, XRF, fire assay. Colour is a clue. The test wins.

## 6–7. Assay and fire assay
Fusion collects gold in lead. Cupellation burns the lead off. Parting leaves gold to weigh. That number is the sample, not the creek story.
