Our Story
Unique Perspective 8 explores the intersection of geology, craftsmanship, and modern luxury. Inspired by British Columbia landscapes, our collections transform raw natural materials into refined pieces designed to last.
Why “8”
The name Unique Perspective 8 comes from a Japanese proverb: “Fall seven times, stand up eight.” It is not about avoiding setbacks — it is about what you build when you rise.
Unique Perspective 8 began after a great loss, at a time when I’d lost nearly everything. Building it gave me a reason to keep going, and something lasting to hand on to my daughter one day. Every stone I find and every piece I wrap is part of that: something made with care, meant to be carried forward.
From the South Okanagan
The studio is in the South Okanagan, BC. Stones on our provenance cards are self-collected from public Highway 97 roadcuts near Penticton, Skaha Lake, and Oliver under Free Miner Certificate 292907. A Free Miner Certificate is standing to explore; it is not a title and not a shop-wide origin story. Read what a card is allowed to say.
At the bench
Studio pieces use recycled copper and recycled 925 sterling wire. Drop-shipped items are labeled and sit outside these studio claims. The full standard lives on the Ethics & Sustainability page.
[Mrgan: add a short description of your process at the bench (tools, wrapping style, how long a piece takes)]
Four doors
This site is the house, the first of four doors. Pieces and specimens are sold at the Shop, the Perspective Audit lives at Services, and field days, clubs, and the Education shelf live at Community.
